Wolverhampton Turns Orange: Uniting to End Violence in Relationships

Thousands of people across Wolverhampton are coming together to take a stand against interpersonal violence through the annual Orange Wolverhampton campaign. Running from 25 November to 10 December, this initiative highlights the citys commitment to ending domestic abuse, forced marriage, harassment, stalking, and other forms of violence.

This 16-day campaign aligns with the United Nations Orange the World initiative, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and concluding on Human Rights Day. It also shines a spotlight on the support available locally from organisations like The Haven, Karma Nirvana, and the City of Wolverhampton Council itself.

Why It Matters

Councilor Jasbir Jaspal, cabinet member for adults and wellbeing, emphasised the campaign’s significance:

“The Orange Wolverhampton campaign is a great way for us to all say to interpersonal violence and help raise awareness of the advice and support available to victims and survivors
